Eversheds Sutherland FCB and Eversheds Sutherland Dusseldorf advised MediaMarkt on the sale of its business in Portugal to Fnac

Eversheds Sutherland FCB, together with Eversheds Sutherland Dusseldorf, advised MediaMarkt on the sale of its business in Portugal to Fnac.

The deal, which is expected to be completed by the end of the summer, includes the sale of 10 physical stores, online commerce, and the integration of approximately 450 employees.

MediaMarkt relied on the support of Eversheds Sutherland, consisting of the German office with the participation of Werner Brickwedde, and the Portuguese office, with the participation of Pedro Guimarães (Corporate and Commercial Law) and João Osório de Castro (Corporate and Commercial Law).

Fnac was advised by Cuatrecasas, with the participation of João Mattamouros (Commercial, Corporate and M&A).
