Paul Pugh is a Corporate Partner and leads our Financial Services M&A team.
He specializes in corporate law, particularly mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, joint ventures, structuring and governance, and transformation projects.
Paul has a strong track record of advising a variety of clients regarding the financial services sector, including payments, asset and wealth management, insurance, consumer finance and fintech.
Paul is also Strategic Lead for Global Diligence, our tech-enabled approach to M&A due diligence.

- Advising the partners of Pollen Street Capital on its merger with Honeycomb Investment Trust PLC.
- Advising on the sale Aro Finance to ClearScore.
- Advising Garmin on its acquisition of Lumishore.
- Advising Cash Access UK on governance and structuring.
- Advising Association of British Insurers (ABI) on the set up of Flood Re, the £2 billion not-for-profit flood reinsurance fund owned and managed by the insurance industry. Paul was interim General Counsel for Flood Re Limited, the designated Scheme Administrator.

- Advising Sony on the US$410m acquisition of shares in Symbian Limited by Nokia and subsequent involvement in the Symbian Foundation.
- Advising on the set up of Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Limited, the company which delivered the public sector commitments in relation to the 2010 matches.
